As a Sustainer you are an integral part of our monastic community. St. Benedict tells us we are to be self-sufficient, requiring us to have ways to generate income. Donations are an important part of our ability to have the resources to run the monastery and Retreat Center, our new natural cemetery and natural farm (see much more information about these initiatives elsewhere on our web site), take care of our aging monks and reach out into the community to encourage men to consider the contemplative life.
