Whatever your faith or search may be, whether you want to pause for a moment in our church or join us for one of the monastic services or the mass, to visit our Monastery Gift Shop where our own and the products of other Cistercian/Trappist monasteries are to be found along with a full stock of books and religious objects, to spend the days of the week or of the weekend at our Retreat House, or simply to be still and reflect on the beauty of the fields and mountains and river, you are very welcome at Holy Cross Abbey.
Our hospitality offers you the silence and serenity of our surroundings. We wish to share that experience with you, and invite you to respect the silence and privacy of the community’s living quarters.
Participation in Holy Communion
The Roman Catholic Church sees the reception of the Eucharist as a sign of the unity of her members. The Bishops of the Catholic Church do not allow us to invite members of other Christian Churches to receive Holy Communion at our Mass. We ask that you respect the discipline of the Roman Catholic Church and that you join us in prayer for the unity that Jesus Christ prayed for, the night before he suffered and died for us all.
