O Lord Jesus, true Gardener, effect in us what you demand of us. For without you we cannot do anything. You are the true Gardener, the same Creator who cultivates and protects your garden. You plant by your word, water with your Spirit, give growth by your power.
You were mistaken, Mary, when you thought he was the gardener of that poor and tiny garden in which he was buried. He is the Gardener of the whole world, he is the Gardener of Heaven, he is the Gardener of the Church, which he plants and waters here until the growth is completed and he transplants it into the Land of the Living beside streams of living water, where it will not fear when heat comes, but its foliage will be green and it will never cease to bear fruit.
Blessed are they who dwell in those gardens of yours, Lord; for ever and ever they will praise you.
