Actually, the current Holy Week Schedule has been posted as a Featured article. But that means it does not appear on the homepage. You must go to the TAB marked “NEWS”, click there and it will remain in place as a Featured Post until I remove it Easter Sunday, after Vespers.
Just a reminder to everyone that the Easter Day Mass is at 10:00 AM, not 11:00 AM. People who come here once a year seem to be unaware of the recent time change, and they probably don’t check this website. But I want to try to get that word out since Easter is a big one-day-in-the-year visit to church for many people. But if people don’t telephone first or check the website, there’s not too much I or anyone can do.
Throughout the days of the Triduum, Vigils is celebrated at 3:30 AM, Lauds at 7:00 AM and Compline at 7:30 PM and guests are welcome to join us in the limited space of our Chapter Room. However, on Easter Sunday, Lauds is celebrated at 8:00 AM (as on Christmas Day); that is our big holiday self-indulgence.
The staining of the renovated church floor will begin on Easter Monday; the floor must be stained, allowed to dry, sanded and re-stained. It requires three coats of stain. So we will be that much closer to moving back into the church; but we will not be in the church for Holy Week.
