Thank you to everyone who had shown concern and offered prayers for Fr. Robert’s health. Carol Hensley and members of the community are very aware of the number of people who would like to visit Fr. Robert. Certainly, his attention and care has meant a lot to many friends of the Abbey and each of you have meant so much to Fr. Robert. However, his energy is very limited now and it is not feasible for him to entertain visitors.
Be aware that his sense of humor and irony are still in good shape, though at this point, he is sedated to help his breathing and relieve him from anxiety–which, in turn, helps his breathing.
His care is in very good hands and Hospice is working out the best strategy for treating his symptoms.
Please keep Fr. Robert in your prayers.
