If the high temperatures are upon us and the weather reports keep mentioning possible thunder storms, you know that we are deep into the summer. That means it will be over before you know it and if it’s going by that quickly you risk letting another summer go by without retreat time at Holy Cross Abbey. Despite the temperatures, rain, at least weekly, has been keeping the grounds beautifully green this year and air-conditioning in the Retreat House has been keeping our guests comfortable.
There is still good availability for the week of Monday, July 25 through Friday, 29 July.
In August, we have plenty of room during the week of Monday, 15 August, through Friday, 19 August. The Weekend of Friday, 19 August through Sunday, 21 August has available rooms; and we solemnly celebrate the Feast of St. Bernard of Clairvaux that Saturday, 20 August. Good availability remains for the rest of August, weekdays and weekends, through Friday, 2 September.
In general, September still has many opportunities for you.
