No, this post isn’t a reflection on our current tools of communication and their impact on our lives and spirituality. Instead this is a post somewhere between an apology and a confession. Both last weekend and this past Friday and Saturday we at the Abbey have experienced shaky connections to the internet and, even back on line, my email is not co-operating. The apology is that I haven’t been able to post anything new last Sunday and Monday–my main days for working on the website–and my confession is that I didn’t miss it!
It was also a very busy week in a very busy month which, never having been a friend of February, I don’t mind ending. And wouldn’t you know we get an extra day of February this year just to prolong the torture. In a busy month, this past week also brought its share of surprises and emergencies so that when we were completely connected to the internet, I only had time to add one post about availability in the Retreat House due to cancellations.
God willing, I’ll catch up this week and get to you a few seasonal thoughts. I trust that you’ve been using this time for Lenten Reading which will profit you more than anything I might post!
