This past Monday, 10 November, Abbot Robert was hospitalized with pneumonia in Winchester Medical Center. He has been responding very well to antibiotics and oxygen. He’s been in very good spirits and has been issuing directives as if from his office at the Abbey. He’s expected home before the weekend.

Dear Abbot Robert,
I am distressed to learn of your illness, but glad you will be fighting the cancer. We trust that Our Blessed Mother will pour out great healing graces on you. Be assured of my prayers and those of others I will notify of your situation. We put our faith in the loving mercy of Jesus and will be asking Him to allow you more time here on earth. May the Lord’s will be done. Amen.
