This Sunday begins the new Liturgical Year, Year B. In the Sunday Cycle of Gospel Readings, the greater part will take us through the Gospel according to Mark. The weekday readings will follow Year One in the Lectionary.
The community Mass will be celebrated at 11:00 AM, Fr. Vincent Collins presiding and preaching. The Advent wreath will have been lit for the First Vespers of the First Sunday of Advent on Saturday evening at 5:30 PM.
Benediction of the Most Blessed Sacrament will follow the Second Vespers of the First Sunday of Advent on Sunday evening at 5:30 PM.
