If you have ever had the desire to actually experience monastic life the MIW is perfect for you. We enter directly into the life of the community, including sitting in choir during the Office to pray with the monks and we live the life for a full 48 hours.
Three conferences from monks, nuns and companion take place as well. The ‘monastic rock-star’ Sister Kathy will join us from our community of nuns in Crozet on Saturday morning and Father Paschal, all 87 years of ‘spit and vinegar’ will speak to us Saturday afternoon. The weekend also includes a conference on creating a lifestyle of prayer and using what we learned and experienced in our own lives outside the monastery.
Participants are expected to participate in the full schedule for the weekend including Vigils at 3:30 am and choir practice at 4:15 am…
