This past Thursday morning, Abbot Robert Barnes widened the path through the snow leading up to our assisted living wing: Br. Edward was coming back home. By the afternoon, he was back in his room and we were beginning his new routine of pureed food and getting reacquainted with the terrain. Since then, the weather has seemed to make an effort to be sunnier and welcoming.
Of course, Br. Edward is glad to be back. We’re all glad to have him back and very glad to see him, with the help of his walker, strolling into the refectory again. He had been away about five weeks and most of that time in bed. It took some effective physical therapy at the Cork Street facility in Winchester to get him back on his feet.
Please continue to keep Br. Edward in your thoughts and prayers.
