Brother Benedict Simmonds was laid to rest today surrounded by many friends and family and the monastic community. Seldom has the Abbey Church been so filled (the size of the crowd required some to watch on closed circuit TV in the Chapter Room) and while the weather was cold and snowy, few were kept from attending.
