Br. Barnabas was well enough to move to the Rehab Center on Cork Street in Winchester. That’s very good news for him and for us. His balance problem will be explored there, as well as his long-standing problem with swallowing.
Fr. Malachy’s gerontologist is aiming to move him to a rehab center when he’s well enough to work on his walking problems. In the past few months, Father has been taken regularly to the Wellness Center in Winchester but has not followed up at home on his exercises and the advice given. Obviously he needs more supervision which he will receive after his pneumonia is treated.
Again, thanks for your on-going prayers and interest.

Please wish my very best to Brother Barnabas. He gave me the most spiritual book I read in my 2 years at HCA – and it was a book about baseball. It was something special, and he being an old barnstormer, made it all the better. Tell him I still wanna have a catch.
Please also wish my best to Fr. Malachy. When my mom was dying, he said a mass for me and sent me a card or two. The thought of him saying a private mass for my mother was one of the most touching experiences i had there. Tell him to get cracking on those exercises!
All the best to the monks!
Michael

Dear BB,
Finally I found you and I didn’t have to look in outer space. Hope that you are feeling better. Don’t die on me. I wouldn’t have anyone tell me how stupid I am and that would make me sad. Lots of smiles and have a beer on me. Love you and write soon.
In loving friendship,
Hazel
