During Br. Benedict’s protracted illness, the various health care personnel from Blue Ridge Hospice became familiar faces here–almost parts of the family. The community of Holy Cross Abbey cannot thank each of them enough for their dedicated, constant and loving service.
If you live in this area, you might consider supporting Blue Ridge Hospice in a very simple way: shop at their Thrift Store. You find good quality clothing, furniture, seasonal decorations, jewelry, books, even antiques, at reasonable prices. There’s one in Berryville at 115 West Main Street and another in Winchester at 116 Featherbed Lane (between S Loudon St. and S. Pleasant Valley Rd, just below E. Jubal Early Drive). For other locations of the Blue Ridge Hospice Thrift Shops, just check the Blue Ridge Hospice website. And, of course, another way to be supportive is to donate to the Thrift Shops.
