What’s a Monastic Immersion Weekend? You may have read on this website Kurt Aschermann’s posts inviting prospective candidates to participate in a Monastic Immersion Weekend. But what is it?
Basically, it is what it claims to be: the structured opportunity to experience a slice of monastic life. The schedule, silence, communal prayer of the monks in our community. There will also be presentations and the chance for these men to meet and talk with one another.
All told, it’s an experiential way to support men interested in our vocation. And we need your help. Please pray for for us–all of us. Please continue to pray for our monastic community that we may grow in depth and commitment to our way of life, in our ability to attract and nurture vocations. Please pray for the fourteen men planning to join us that the Holy Spirit may enlighten their minds and hearts and wills. Please pray for Kurt that he may be strengthened and encouraged to continue in his generous work for us. And remember your own needs; our future impacts yours. Pray that we may continue to give you hospitality and support for your own vocations.
