Bakery Manager Ernie Polanskas is requesting styrofoam packing peanuts for shipping certain Monastery Bakery Products. Yes, we are well aware that styrofoam is anything but eco-friendly and finding suitable alternatives is on the agenda, but in the meanwhile, he’s putting out this request as one way of re-using packing peanuts rather than putting them into land-fill. Think about it: it’s like the old fruit-cake joke. You know, there are only eight fruitcakes in the world and each Christmas, last year’s recipient sends one of them to you. In like manner, we could use the same packing peanuts for the next millenium. If you have any styrofoam packing peanuts for Ernie, please contact him first by telephoning him at 540-533-9377 or email him at monasterybakery@aol.com Thank you!
