I’m posting here an opportunity and invitation that may interest a number of our readers–as I’d posted in the past.
The Spiritual Direction Institute (SDI) is offering an informational session on Sunday, April 2, 2017 at 2:00 PM at the Church of the Incarnation, Charlottesville, in the conference room.
The Spiritual Direction Institute offers a two year program, first developed in 1989 by the late–and much loved–Msgr. Chester Michael; it’s a program that has already benefitted over 600 people. Any of our readers unfamiliar with Fr. Chet would enjoy learning more at www.chestermichael.org
Participants in SDI learn to deepen their own spiritual life through this ecumenical program that is built around group discussion, lectures, daily personal prayer and study, reflections on the great spiritual masters of our Christian tradition, lectio divina and other disciplines. Apart from the benefits to the individual participants and the group, many “graduates” of the program have gone on to be effective spiritual directors.
If nothing else, remember the SDI and that location before you lament, “I can’t find a spiritual director!” This might be a helpful resource to find the person you’re looking for.
